Officer, mother killed will be greatly missed by her four children
(WMC-TV) - Officer Martoiya Lang had an impressive career with the Memphis Police Department, but it was her job at home as a mom of four girls that she treasured the most, according to those who knew her best.

Lang, the proud and loving mother of four girls, died as she and another organized crime officer, also wounded, served a search warrant on a suspected drug house in Berclair.
The four daughters are ages 14, 13, 12 and two.
"When they said undercover officer, I thought it has to be," said Hanan Beyah, who used to live next door to the Lang family.

Beyah remembers seeing the family all together.

"Sweet little heart goes out for them," said Beyah.

Lang and her husband were divorcing, but Beyah said their house was always peaceful.

It was a happy place to be with a loving family, according to Beyah.

"Just being without a mother. My heart goes out to them. Being a parent. That young losing a parent. That's hard," she said.

Other neighbors said their main concern is helping her children's father take care of the young girls.
"We are asking that the city continue to keep her family in their prayers. She is the mother of four small kids," said MPD director Toney Armstong.
