(WMC-TV) - 21-year-old Treveno Campbell is charged with first degree murder of Officer Martoiya Lang.
Officer Lang was shot with a 9mm pistol with a high capacity magazine, along with Officer William Vrooman, as they served a narcotics search warrant at 1062 Mendenhall Cove around 8 a.m. Friday.
Lang, 32, was transported to the Regional Medical Center in critical condition but was later pronounced deceased.
The shooting suspect was transported to the Regional Medical Center where he remains in critical condition.
Vrooman was released in stable condition from The Med late Friday afternoon.
One additional individual, 26-year-old Willie Braddock, was located inside the residence and was taken into custody. No other injuries were reported.
During the search of this residence, investigators discovered several plastic bags of marijuana located in the bedroom where Willie Braddock was encountered by officers.
Braddock was charged with possession of controlled substance with intent to manufacture, sell.
Additional charges against Campbell are pending.

Lang was the mother of four children.
"We are asking that the city continue to keep her and her family in your prayers, she is the mother of four small kids," said MPD Director Toney Armstrong referring to her daughters, who are ages 14, 13, 12, and 2-years-old.
