(WMC-TV) - An elderly Clarksdale woman was robbed, murdered and burned in her home Saturday.

Clarksdale police responded to the residence of Ethel Lewis around 3 p.m. to find the 85-year-old woman still in flames.

The fire did not spread throughout the home.

Police received a tip that the suspect was fleeing Clarksdale in a white Toyota Avalon that was stolen from the victim's residence.

The vehicle was spotted by Mississippi Highway Patrol.

Before MHP pulled the vehicle over, four males fled the vehicle on foot into the woods according to The Clarksdale Press Register.

After a short chase all men were arrested by police.

A 17-year-old was taken into custody and transported to Coahoma County jail.

The other three men were detained, but not taken into custody.

Lewis and her husband were reported to have lived at the residence for more than 50 years.
Clarksdale police officials were unsure of the cause of death and are awaiting the autopsy report.

We will update this story with more information as it is received.
