(WMC-TV)  – Many people Wednesday morning saw a different type of scenery as the overnight storm and early morning winds left some Memphians with property damage.

A house across the street from 1941 Foster Ave. at La Po Lamahad had a tree fall on the roof a morning.

Then saw his vehicle was also crushed by the tree's limbs.

"I'm just glad my neighbors are ok. That was the most important thing. That they were ok," said Ayers.

There were no injuries, but the house was seriously damaged. More about that story here.

The canopy at the Circle K gas station at Madison and McLean was blown off. No injuries have been reported.

Parts of Poplar Avenue were briefly closed down early Wednesday morning due to storm damage.

Many Memphians also woke up without power, MLGW reports thousands are out of power still - but they are working to fix all outages.

We are monitoring the damage, and will update this story as new information comes in.
