Covington church fire ruled arson By WMCActionNews5.com Staff | December 22, 2012 at 9:27 PM CST - Updated July 25 at 10:36 PM (WMC-TV) - A church fire in Covington overnight has been ruled arson. According to Fire Chief Jerry Craig, the fire caused extensive damage to the Fellowship Hall and kitchen of Mt. Zion Church. The rest of the church suffered heavy smoke damage No one was hurt. Damage is estimated at $100,000. Church members and Pastor Daryl Wynn met with state fire investigators Saturday morning. This fire is still under investigation. Copyright 2012 WMC-TV.
