(WMC-TV) – This year at Action News 5 we introduced you to our 12 Strays of Christmas program with the Humane Society of Memphis and Shelby County.
We were happy to hear that Forrest, Linus, Yoko and Katrina have found homes, but many of these animals would love to find a loving family just in time for the holidays.
Yesterday we presented Shady, our final animal in the program. Shady is a white and gray five-year-old female cat. She loves other cats and lives with several. Because of her previous environment she can be timid around new things, but all she needs is a little patience and love to come out of her shell.
Franky was the first pet to be introduced in this program. This 6-year-old black lab, is very sweet and friendly and he already knows lots of tricks. He can sit, lay, and shake hands or paws, whichever you prefer.
There is also Lady, a beautiful 4-year-old Shepherd mix with a gorgeous brown brindle coat. She is also known as the "Lady of Beale", because she used to roam the streets of downtown Memphis for years. Lady is a calm, patient and kind spirit.
