MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) – "I'm just having a hard time dealing with it," Teresa Mayes' sister, Bobbi Booth said.

Booth did not know Teresa and Teresa's mother in law were indicted by a Hardeman County Grand jury earlier this week. D.A. Mike Dunavant said details of the indictment will be revealed Thursday morning. But Booth doesn't expect it to be good.

"I don't know that there's a good direction either way,

Booth said. "I mean I'll be honest. There is no justice in this case."

Teresa Mayes is the widow and Mary Mayes is the mother of Adam Mayes who investigators say killed Jo Ann Bain and her 14 year old daughter in May before kidnapping Bain's two other daughters aged 12 and 8 years old.

He held the two young girls in the woods near Guntown, Mississippi, where he lived with his parents and wife Teresa. Mayes killed himself when investigators located him and the Bain sisters were rescued.

Bobbi Booth said her sister does not understand exactly what is going on because she is mentally deficient. She said she has received new letters from her sister recently.

"She talks like life is normal," Booth said. "You know she tells me she loves me. She misses me in the letters. She talks to my kids. I don't think she understands the depths of this at all."

In June, Bobbi Booth showed Action News 5's, Janice Broach other letters her sister and Mary Mayes sent to her. Booth said she turned all the letters over to TBI agents.

Booth is worried about what will happen to her sister.

The contents of the indictment will be revealed Thursday morning in Hardeman County. Teresa and Mary Mayes will be in court when it is read. Action News Five will also be in the courtroom and we will bring you all the details when we have them.
