2-month-old boy found unharmed

(WMC-TV) - Police located an 8-week-old boy who was reported missing Thursday morning after his mother was dropped off at a hospital with multiple stab wounds.

While not yet booked into jail, the father faces a long list of criminal charges after a violent night.

Police said the woman who got stabbed is recovering at the MED, her condition improving.

Besides the Sheriff's deputies and police officers, Shean Bell also raced to Sterling Ridge.

"Everything I heard, I heard from y'all on the news," said Bell.

When he turned on the morning news, he saw a photo of his two-month-old nephew Adrian Delk, Jr. flash across the screen in an Amber Alert.

Police said the little boy's father stabbed his mother overnight, dropped off her and her 7-year-old at Methodist North Hospital, and took off with his infant son still in the car.

The baby turned up on Sterling Ridget.

"She didn't know. We were the first to tell her. He was in the house... she didn't know about nothing. She didn't know the girl been stabbed, that he kidnapped the baby. She didn't know nothing," said Bell.

His mother called police, and now Adrian Delk, Sr. is in custody.

He faces a long list of potential criminal charges in connection to this case.

"He is the suspect in the stabbing," said Memphis Police Department spokesperson Alyssa Macon-Moore.

Bell said that his brother-in-law has been in trouble in the past.

Also, that the father has barricaded himself in the house before, and that some family members, including his mother, are afraid of him based on previous threats.

"Uh, yeah, he needs help. I don't know about jail, but he needs help," said Bell.

Adrian Delk, Jr. is not hurt, and was left in the care of family members.
