AMBER Alert suspect arraigned in court

(WMC-TV) - The man police say set off an amber alert involving his infant son and the child's mother appeared in court Friday.

Adrian Delk is charged with attempted second degree murder, among other charges.

Memphis police say he stabbed his son's mother, then dropped her off at the hospital with her 7-year-old son.

He then took off with his 2-month-old son still in the car.

Thursday, Delk and the infant turned up on Sterling Ridge, where his mother lives. She is the one who called police.

Delk's brother-in-law, Shean Bell, says Delk is no stranger to the law and some of his family members are afraid of him.

His son, Adrian Delk, Jr., was not hurt.

The infant is now in the care of family members.

Police say the baby's mother is still recovering at The MED.

Delk was arraigned Friday morning and remains behind bars on a $500,000 bond.

He is due back in court on February 15.
