NFL awards handed out on the eve of the Superbowl, and Peyton Manning's return from four neck surgeries has scored him the 2012 NFL Comeback Player of the Year award.
The four-time league MVP guided the Broncos to the AFC's best record, 13-3, in his first season in Denver.
Before sitting out 2011, Manning had never missed a start in his first 13 seasons with Indianapolis.

Following knee surgery, Peterson finished with 2-thousand, 19 yards, a mere 9 yards short of breaking Eric Dickerson's rushing record.
Peterson also won Offensive Player of the Year.
