Sophomore coach Justin Fuente is looking towards the future with his latest signing class at the University of Memphis.
The Tiger coaching staff announcing 22 high school seniors and just one junior college player signed with the U of M Wednesday. The group will join six student-athletes who enrolled at Memphis for the spring semester.
The Tigers, who will compete in the BIG EAST Conference next fall, took care of needs on offense, signing six offensive linemen, including two junior college transfers - along with four, high school running backs and a pair of junior college wide receivers.
In addition to the running backs and receivers, the Tigers also signed athlete Sam Craft.
Craft transferred to Olive Branch for his senior season, where he was named the Mississippi High School Activities Association All-Region 1 6A Most Valuable Player on offense. He passed for 1,798 yards and 14 touchdowns and also came close to rushing for 1,000 yards, finishing with 974 yards and 16 touchdowns.
On defense, the Tigers' signees include five defensive backs.
Memphis' spring camp opens Feb. 28th. The annual Spring Game will be April 6th at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium.
