Posted: Updated:

(WMC-TV) – A Memphis woman was forced out of her home after it caught fire early Wednesday morning.

The fire happened on the 1800 block of McPherson Road in Memphis. And when firefighters got to the house, it was consumed by flames.

Not only was the home on fire, but a truck under the carport and a car and the end of the driveway were on fire as well.

The woman who lives in the house was able to get out. She is being treated for first degree burns at the hospital. Her two German Shepherds are safe, but became stuck in some fencing and had to be rescued.

The blaze was so intense it also caught the home next to it on fire.

The cause of the fire is unknown, but investigators are working to find out what went wrong.
