The Ole Miss Rebels haven't been to the NCAA tournament in the 6 years Andy Kennedy's been at the helm in Oxford, but the Rebs coming into Saturday's showdown with in-state rival Mississippi State as the team many consider the last in for the dance.

Ole Miss looking for its first season sweep of Mississippi State since 1998, but instead is dealt a serious blow to those NCAA hopes.

 Mississippi State, which had a 13 game losing streak, led nearly the entire game and took down the Rebels, 73-67.

Colin Borchert scored a career-high 21 points and Gavin Ware added 12 in the Bulldogs win.

Roquez Johnson returned from a three-game suspension to score 10 points for Mississippi State.

It's the sixth loss in 10 games for the Rebels.
