Pair of overnight robberies may be connected, say police

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Metro police said a description of a robbery suspect seems to match that of a man accused of hitting another store early Wednesday morning.

Police said a man flashed a gun and robbed the Mapco at 2406 Elm Hill Pike around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Investigators said a man with a similar description robbed the Circle K at 2200 Nolensville Pike about an hour later.

In both cases, the man was wearing a rag over his face to conceal his identity.

Police said they are currently searching for the suspect.
