MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) - The Blytheville, Arkansas Police Department is searching for a 5-year-old boy who was abducted - and time is critical.

Investigators say Corbet Darby took off with her son Evan Darby. But she didn't have permission, because she doesn't have custody.

Police say she has a history of mental instability.

And they have reason to be concerned for both mother and son.

If you have any information, you are asked to call the Blytheville Police Department at (870) 763-4411.
