WEST MEMPHIS, AR -

(WMC-TV) - The woman found dead in the "10 Mile Bayou" has been identified as Tracey Suzanne Brock, 35, of West Memphis.

Her body was found partially submerged in the bayou on the 200 block of South Worthington Drive near Worthington Park just before 1 p.m. Tuesday.

The cause of death is still unknown pending results from the Arkansas State Medical Examiner's Office. The case is being investigated by the West Memphis Police Department.

By phone, Brock's mother told Action News 5 that she was enrolled in the Hope House Ministries program. Her daughter was trying to turn her life around.

"I think I'm still in shock," said Brock's mother, Phyllis Autry. "It just hasn't hit home yet."

Brock was studying computer technology at Mid-South Community College. She also attended First Baptist Church of Marion.

"She was a beautiful woman, inside and out," said Autry. "Always happy. Grew up to be a really outgoing girl, a good personality, very loving. She'd do anything for you."

West Memphis police say the community helped identify Brock very quickly but it will still take some time to determine how she died.

Meanwhile, her family waits to find out whether her death was an accident or if someone killed her.

"Yes, we want closure on this. We wanna get the police report from the M.E. to know exactly what happened on the autopsy," explained Autry. "We need closure on this."
