Man arrested after parking lot shooting

(WMC-TV) - A man was arrested after shots were fired in the parking lot of a night club Sunday morning, according to police.

Police arrived to find a man in a General Motors Yukon firing shots at a Ford Mustang occupied by at least four people in the Electric Cowboy parking lot.

A witness said that at least 60 people were in the parking lot at the time of the shooting. The witness also said several shots were fired.

Police followed the Yukon near the interstate and detained Jesus Ramirez. Ramirez told officers he had become upset and fired a couple of shots in the air while in the parking lot.

Officers recovered a Beretta PX 49mm handgun from the Yukon.

Ramirez was then arrested for reckless endangerment and possession of a weapon during the commission of a felony. The handgun was tagged at the 201 Poplar property and evidence room.

No injuries were reported.
