(WMC-TV) - Three people, one of whom is a 13-year-old girl, were found dead in Lee County, Mississippi.

Wiley Young, 55, Danica McCord, 46, and Destiny McCord, 13, were each killed by a single gunshot wound at a home on County Road 49, about 12 miles north of Tupelo.

The mother, her fiance', and her daughter were found around 8 a.m. this morning by a Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks conservation officer, who is also a relative.

Lee County Sheriff Jim Johnson did not say when the family was killed, but he said they attended church Sunday morning and one of the victims was seen Sunday afternoon.

Attempts to contact the family were unsuccessful.

The sheriff does not believe the public is in any danger.

"We want the community to know that we're very comfortable now releasing enough information to tell you that we believe that everything was secluded to this house," said Sheriff Johnson. "We do not believe we have anyone that we're looking for in the general area that would be responsible for this. You can take that for what it's worth. We want them to feel that it is safe. There is no need for alarm at this point."

The bodies were sent to the Lee County Medical Examiner.  Autopsy results are expected later this week.
