(WMC-TV) - Germantown police are not saying much about the case of missing mother, Heather Palumbo-Jones. Even though they are staying tight-lipped, they kept an active presence and her home all day.

Search dogs sniffed around, squad cars blocked the driveway, and about a dozen police officers searched her property for clues.

Palumbo-Jones, a teacher and mother to two children, disappeared Monday and has not been seen or heard from since.

Her car remains in the driveway. But her keys, cell phone, and purse are gone.

"It's just not something that happens ordinarily," said neighbor Karen Gross. "It's just very unusual and sad. I hope that she's found safe and close by."

Germantown police classify it as a missing persons case. They ask that anyone with information call (901) 757-7338.
