(WMC-TV) - For the second year in a row, the Memphis Grizzlies will begin their quest for an NBA Championship with a first round matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers. This time, however, the Clippers will have the home court advantage.
The best-of-seven series will begin with game one in Los Angeles on Saturday, April 20th at 9:30 p.m. Game two will be at the same time, also in the city of Angels, on Monday, April 22nd. The Grizzlies will return to FedExForum for games three and four, set for Thursday, April 25th, and Saturday, April 27th.
The Clippers beat the Grizzlies in three out of four regular season matchups this year, with the two teams splitting in Los Angeles, and the Clippers winning both in Memphis.
This marks the Grizzlies' third straight playoff appearance, and their sixth appearance overall as a franchise. The 2012-2013 season saw the best record in Grizzlies' history, as the Boys on Beale finished with a 56-26 record. The Grizzlies are only the second team in NBA history to finish with at least 56 wins, and not be a top four seed for the playoffs.
