Andy's Restaurant Scorecard: Cinco De Mayo's most exclusive DISHES!

(WMC TV) - In celebration of Cinco De Mayo, the Restaurant Scorecard announces its third annual Cinco De Mayo Scorecard.

This year, Andy and La Prensa Latina's Brenda Aguilar and Jairo Arguijo chose five local Mexican restaurants that offer the most exclusive and original Mexican dishes.

The restaurants and their signature foods:

* LAS DELICIAS, 4002 Park Ave., U of M Park Ave. Campus Area, 901-230-7052. Homemade chips (totopos), served with three types of salsa. Tacos with marinated rotisserie pork and pineapples. Alambres (medley of pork, steak, bacon, cheese and onions with a sauteed jalapeno pepper).

* MI PUEBLO, 5007 Black Rd., White Station Area, East Memphis, 901-244-7914. Sopa De Pollo (chicken soup, loaded with broccoli & cauliflower); Guacamole Ranchero (made in front of you, but chunky and spicy. Best guacamole Andy's ever tasted!).

* EL PUERTO, 775 S. Highland St., U of M Area, 901-604-7385. Enchiladas Sofia (pork, chicken or beef enchiladas with verde sauce and real Mexican table cream instead of sour cream).

* LA HACIENDA 21, 3231 Goodman Rd E, Southaven, MS, (662) 349-3767. Outdoor Grill-style Carne Asada.

* LA PERLA TAPATIA, 2050 W. Poplar Ave., Collierville, TN, (901) 850-7760. Carnitas (deep fried pork), Burrito De Asada (giant steak burrito stuffed with rice, beans, cheese, hot sauce and Mexican table cream).
