Woman shot, critically injured in north Nashville home

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A woman was shot in the chest while inside her north Nashville home Sunday night.

Metro police say the victim heard several gunshots outside her house on Highland Trace Drive just before 10 p.m.

One bullet entered the home and struck her in the chest.

She has been transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with critical injuries.
