(WMC -TV) - Visible Music College student Sarah Simmons' last time on the "The Voice" stage was Monday night, but it will not be the last time fans will hear or see her.

Minutes after being eliminated, Simmons described how she feels going home.

"It's definitely bitter sweet. Extremely bitter sweet," she said.

Her coach, Adam Levine, took the news harder. His face said it all on live television.

"He kept telling me that he couldn't believe it, and he was upset with how voting goes," said Simmons.

Adam selected Sarah's song, Gotye's "Somebody I Used to Know".

"I don't really second guess myself, and I certainly do not second guess myself in this situation. They did not deserve to go home based on their vocal ability and performances," said Levine.

Sarah said she cannot pull negative thoughts from her great experience.

Sarah and her mother will stay in Los Angeles for a couple more days, then they will return to the Mid-South. But Simmons is officially moving to Los Angeles in July to pursue her singing career full time.
