(WMC-TV) – It's been a deadly weekend on Mid-South interstates. Six people have died in two separate wrecks, including three members of an Arkansas family.

A 6-year-old girl is in satisfactory condition Sunday night at LeBonheur. Her father, mother, and two-year-old sister all died in a horrific wreck Saturday afternoon on I-55 in Marion, Arkansas.

The coroner in Crittenden County says that this is among the worst wrecks he's seen. The Nissan SUV in which the family was riding was crushed when it ran under an 18-wheeler.

State police say the driver, 26 year-old Nicholas McGuire of Gosnell, Arkansas, failed to stop in a construction zone. His wife, Jessica, and daughter, Brinley, also died on the scene.

Six-year-old Cadence McGuire survived.

This is the same stretch of I-55 where two construction workers were killed back in April when a pick-up lost control while they were on the job. Fifty-five-year-old Marshall Turner was one of them.

Jason Miles spoke with his son the day after his father was killed. Turner's son said, "You know, he pretty much taught me everything I know."

In addition to three deaths from the same family Saturday, Memphis Police reported three fatalities from a wreck early Sunday morning that tied up traffic on I-240 at Norris Road.

Two women in one car died when the driver of another struck them while traveling northbound in the southbound lanes.

Memphis Police have yet to release names from the wreck overnight or say if alcohol was involved.
