Concerned family seeks missing man with dementia

(WMC-TV) - One Mid-South concerned sister is concerned that her brother isn't home yet.

"Saturday morning I took his coffee as usual and he wasn't there," stated Mauve Goodman.

Goodman stated her 73-year-old brother Perry Johnson usually sits in the chair everyday waiting for his morning coffee. So she immediately started searching the area around the lake and toward Berclair.

Three weeks ago, Johnson was diagnosed with dementia; but, Goodman confirmed he was fine Friday night when she last saw him.

"He was coherent. We were very impressed and so proud of him. We thought 'well he's on the road to recovery' " admitted Goodman.

Goodman described her brother as a kind-hearted, loving man who took care of their parents until they passed away.

Goodman believes her brother was wearing a maroon shirt with a small vertical yellow stripe, light colored pants, and black shoes with a velcro closure when he disappeared.

Police ask you to contact them immediately if you see him.
