(WMC-TV) - More than 20,000 people will roll into Tunica this weekend for a roundup of bikers across the country.

This gathering will not only give a boost not only to Tunica's economy but also to surrounding areas.

Starting Wednesday Tunica will be a Mecca for thousands of motorcycle riders from all over the country.

Some bikers are from as far as California. Organizers from the National Biker's Roundup picked Tunica as its destination for the 36th annual convention.

Hotels, restaurants, and gas stations in the area are expecting a big boost from tourists like Tony Green. He has not seen some of these riders in years.

"We talk throughout the years ... This is a good opportunity for us to get together, and see how everyone's doing," said Green.

Local and far away food trucks will do their best to fuel the bikers while vendors help market Tunica and Mississippi with souvenir patches and T-shirts. Troopers from the highway patrol and local law enforcement are already in town to make sure people keep safe.

There are 6,000 hotel rooms in Tunica, and all of them are booked. The rally goes on all weekend with plenty of activities. For more information click here.
