Closure: Ariel Castro is off to prison for life

In the hours after the sentencing we ran into Charles Ramsey back on Seymour Avenue, one of the men credited with helping Amanda Berry escape. We just had to ask him if he was satisfied with Ariel Castro's sentence of life in prison with no chance of parole, plus 1,000 years.

"No. I'm not going to lie to you bro," Ramsey told 19 Action News Reporter Dan DeRoos. "You know me, you watched my interviews I'm not going to sugar coat nothing. I'd be satisfied with him standing with me right now, and me and you interviewing me, except me choking the hell out of him."

We also went back to Seymour Avenue today and found out we weren't the only ones.

A women who lives across the street from the Castro house told us that Michelle Knight came back to see the house one last time Friday morning. Then she thanked the many neighbors who helped them to freedom.

"She came over and thanked her and that she's looking very good," the neighbor told us.

We also found out Gina Dejesus and Amanda Berry made the same trip earlier this week to see the house one last time before it's ripped down and destroyed.

As for Castro his was in a convoy that left the Justice Center Friday evening to drive him to the Lorain Correctional Institute in Grafton. There he'll be put in isolation while he goes through processing, and while they determine which prison he'll spend the rest of his life in.
