Tigers fall in opener

The Memphis Tigers one of just 6 teams at the FBS level that had to wait a week to begin their 2013 season.

But it doesn't end with a win for the Tigers.

Brandon Connette threw for 198 yards and 2 fourth-quarter touchdowns to lead Duke past Memphis 28-14.

Memphis scored its touchdowns on a 75-yard interception return by Bobby McCain in the first half and an 11-yard run by Jai Steib in the fourth.

Tigers just 237 total yards on offense to Duke's 470.   

The Tigers hit the road for their second game of the season at MTSU next week.
