Father: Missing teen found at boyfriend's house

"I'm not mad at her. I love her. She's my daughter and I just want her home," said father Mike Maness. "I'm not mad at her. I love her. She's my daughter and I just want her home," said father Mike Maness.

(WMC-TV) - A father says his missing 14-year-old daughter was found at her boyfriend's house Thursday evening.

Michelle Maness goes to Bartlett High.

"I'm not mad at her. I love her. She's my daughter, and I just want her home," said father Mike Maness before Michelle was found.

The teenager's father said his daughter went to live with her mother a year ago. The couple divorced in 2003. Michelle met a 16-year-old boy in her mother's neighborhood near the Shelby County Penal Farm.

"She went to school on that Friday the 16 and got on the school bus," said Mike.

Maness says his daughter, a straight-A student, and the boy ran away. The 16-year-old, who we are not identifying, talked to Action News 5. He said he tried to convince Michelle to go home, but she refused. He went home Sunday.

Police issued a City Watch for Michelle Thursday afternoon, nearly a month after she was missing. Authorities canceled the City Watch Friday morning.
