MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) - On the heels of their greatest season ever, the Memphis Grizzlies have a new reason to celebrate.

The Grizzlies earned the bragging rights as the number one franchise by ESPN The Magazine.  That is out of all professional sports, including NHL, NBA, NFL and MLB.

CEO Jason Levien believes the Grizzlies can win big in the community and on the court.

"Last year and the year's past we talked about 'Believe Memphis' and this year we're talking about 'Beyond Belief," said Memphis Grizzlies CEO Jason Levien.

Levien says they are using Mike Miller, a former grizzly who came back to Memphis this summer, as an example of the team's pursuit of greatness.

"I think the grizzlies success on the court the connection to this community resonated with a guy like Mike, who had been here before and had seen what this community was all about," said Levien. "Mike coming back here and doing so because he wants to win a championship here in Memphis, I think says a lot about how far this organization has come."

ESPN The Magazine used factors like the best bang for your buck, fan relations, likeability of players and stadium experience to rank the Grizzlies as number one.
