Law enforcement swarms house in Pearl - WMC Action News 5 - Memphis, Tennessee

Drug agents swarm Pearl house, arrests made

PEARL, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Narcotics agents and police officers went in and out of a house in Pearl for hours Wednesday morning. The house is located at 111 Silver Ridge Ln.

The Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics is the lead agency in the investigation, but Pearl police confirm arrests were made as a result of the search of the house and vehicles this morning.

A neighbor said he's seen a lot of out-of-state tags at the house, especially in the mornings, since a woman moved in about four months ago.

"I didn't really know what was going on at the time, but I had my expectations," says Crosby Tanner, a former police officer. "I do suspect drug sales based on the traffic that I've seen."

Another neighbor, who asked not to be identified, says law enforcement showed up at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday.

"They brought out garbage bags full of stuff. They had gloves on, it was a lot. A lot of stuff came out of the house," the neighbor said, adding that the woman who lives in the house drives a Camaro and the man drives a Jaguar.

"The undercover [agent] drove the Jaguar and the other one drove the Camaro off," she says, adding that the agents extensively searched both vehicles.

"They're pretty low-key. No one actually knows their names, they just know how they look," the neighbor tells us.

"I'm glad that this has finally come to a head, and it will get out of our neighborhood because we certainly don't welcome it here," Crosby said.
