Former Tennessee Vol Arian Foster made headlines this week, admitting he received money on the side during his senior season in Knoxville.
His college coach, however, says if that happened, he wasn't aware.
Former Tennessee coach Phil Fulmer says in an emailed statement to the Associated Press, he didn't know of any payments made to Foster during the runningback's career at UT.
Fulmer, who coached Foster at Tennessee from 2005-08, says he took great pride in having a program that was NCAA compliant, and if he or his staff knew of a violation, big or small, they reported it.
Sports Illustrated first reported Foster's comments made in an upcoming documentary.
Foster told reporters on Friday the money he received, didn't come from a coach.
