MEMPHIS, TN -
(WMC-TV) - Police say two women and a man shoplifted from Wolfchase Galleria before leading officers on a chase. The suspects reportedly pointed a gun at an off-duty officer working security at the mall, which has seen a number of shopliftings this month.

Blue lights surrounding a blue Chevy blocked Green Dolphin Street in Memphis Monday.

"All I know is I looked out and there was cops coming down the street, and they had two girls and a guy on the ground," said neighbor Mark Starling.

Starling saw about 20 Memphis police and Shelby County sheriff's deputies. Police say the suspects were wanted for a shoplifting at Wolfchase Galleria.

Police say the trio made it to the area of Getwell Road and I-240 before being stopped. The loot stolen from the mall included a pile of Levi's jeans.

"A lot of clothes and diapers, and a bunch of stuff they were getting out of the car," said Starlings.

At least 10 felony shoplifting crimes were reported at Wolfchase Mall during the month of September alone. Items swiped included electronics, expensive handbags, and lingerie.

Memphis Police recently released a video surveillance of a woman suspected of stealing from the Pink store in hopes of catching her.

Police have not said whether the suspects caught Monday have been formally charged.
