Endangered child alert issued for TN boy

SPENCER, TN (WSMV) - An endangered child alert has been issued for a 1-year-old boy from Van Buren County, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

Bentley Smith was last seen Friday about 4:15 p.m. in Spencer, TN, when he was forcibly taken from the child's home by his mother's ex-boyfriend.

The TBI describes the child as a white male, approximately 28" tall and 30 lbs. with blonde hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue and green shirt with a collar, long white pants and black sandals.

A description of the suspect has not been provided.
