Teen charged after man shot several times

(WMC-TV) - Memphis police have 18-year-old Derrick Chambers in custody in connection with a Sunday night shooting.

According to the affidavit, the victim says Chambers approached him as he was getting into his car at Dogwood and Barron and shot him several times.

The victim drove to a nearby fire station on Getwell for help.

Chambers is charged with attempted first degree murder and is in jail on a $500,000 bond. He's due in court Wednesday.
