Mother arrested after infant found unresponsive between mattresses

(WMC-TV) - Tennessee investigators arrested a mother after her infant died earlier this year in her care. The Lauderdale County grand jury indicted Tori Alexandria Pease, 21, Monday.

According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Pease was sleeping on a mattress on the floor next to a mattress for the children. She woke to find 7-month-old Haiden Colvin between the two mattresses unresponsive.

An ambulance took the infant to Baptist Lauderdale where he was pronounced dead.

Pease was charged with one count of attempted aggravated child endangerment and booked into the Lauderdale County Jail on $1,000 bond.
