(WMC-TV) – A new Memphis brewery is planning its debut this weekend.

The long anticipated Memphis Made Brewing Company is the latest brewing company in town and it will be available Friday. This will make the second brewery opening in a two months' span.

"We got the first batch in the tank a couple weeks ago. We've been brewing along the last couple weeks so we can get some stock built up so that when we do get out to the bars we don't run out right away," said Drew Barton with Memphis Made Brewery.

Brews from Memphis Made Brewing Company will first be available at the Cordova Flying Saucer, then at the downtown Flying Saucer. By Saturday, beer will be distributed to Young Avenue Deli, Aldo's Pizza Pies, Bardog Tavern, and Slider Inn.

"We've got a Saison coming out, a darker Saison than people are used to ... We're also doing your typical American Pale Ale," said Barton.

But he is not alone in pouring fresh and local beers. Local brewers say the trend of making craft beer is spreading because Memphians want to buy local.

Kellan Bartosch and his brother recently opened WiseAcre Brewery on Broad avenue.

"I think it's an exciting time for beer, but I think in general it's maybe a bigger moment," said Bartosch. "People really care about where their products are made, where they are coming from, they're choosing quality over quantity or mass production."
