Body in burned house identified as police shooting suspect

(WMC-TV) - The body of the man who shot two TACT officers has been found inside the burning house he barricaded himself inside after the first shooting.

Aaron Dumas, 32, was about to be arrested by officers serving a warrant when he shot at TACT officer Timothy Jackson. Jackson was taken to The MED with a leg injury. He is now in stable condition.

Following the shooting, Dumas ran back into the house located at 1383 Worthington Street and refused to come out for several hours.

Just before 5 p.m., a second TACT officer, Paul Hutchinson, was also shot in the leg. Click here to read the full story.
