Mid-South recall impacts thousands

(WMC-TV) - Almost 23,000 pounds of chicken, ham, and beef products are being recalled Thursday.

Reser's Fine Foods announced Wednesday several products are being recalled due to a "possible contamination with listeria monocytogenes".

According to a statement, the products "are being recalled in conjunction with other foods regulated by the Food and Drug Administration".

The products were distributed in 27 states. Arkansas, Mississippi, Missouri, and Tennessee are included among the 27 states.

The problem was discovered through a microbiological testing by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
