Two men face a judge after shocking murder

(WMC-TV) - Two Memphis men are facing a judge after a man was found dead in the parking lot by his brother.

Canderlario Del Angel, 35, and Brent Gomez, 20, are both charged with murdering Jose Vilches-Villareal.

According to the affidavit, police caught Canderlario as he was trying to drive away on a bicycle. He had a black backpack on and officers found two firearms inside his back pack.

Canderlario is facing first degree murder charges.

The second suspect, Brent Gomez, has been charged as accessory to first degree murder.

Gomez has admitted to being with the victim when he died and fighting with him over a pistol. He also told police he helped steal the victim's surveillance system after the fact.

Both men are being held without bond. They will appear in court at 8:30 a.m. Thursday.
