Teen run over by tractor in Fulton County

ARCHBOLD, OH (Toledo News Now) -

A teenager was killed Friday night, after getting run over by a tractor in Fulton County.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, 18-year-old Kyle Beck, of Wauseon, was struck at approximately 7:42 p.m. Friday, on County Road 24 southbound, north of County Road F, in German Township.

Troopers say Beck was trying to jump onto the tractor he was working on while it was still in motion. He fell to the ground and was run over by the rear trailers. Beck died from his injuries in the accident.

The driver, a 15-year-old male, was operating the John Deere tractor at the time, hauling two gravity beds loaded with corn.

The intersection of County Road 24 and County Road F was closed for approximately one hour and thirty minutes while emergency personnel were on scene.

The crash remains under investigation at this time.
