Auburn beats FAU 45-10

AUBURN, AL (WSFA) -

The Auburn Tigers continued their winning streak with a 45-10 win over Florida Atlantic University at Jordan-Hare Saturday night.

Auburn took an early lead when Tre Mason ran into the end zone from eight yards out. Corey Grant ran 43 yards for Auburn in the first quarter making the lead 14-0.

Quarterback Nick Marshall ran in the third touchdown in the first quarter.

Jeremy Johnson went in during the second quarter for injured starter Nick Marshall. Auburn announced in the second half that Marshall suffered a shoulder injury and wouldn't return to the game.

Coach Gus Malzahn gave no update to Marshall's injury following the game.

After entering the game, Johnson immediately threw a 36-yard touchdown pass to Sammie Coates for a 28-0 lead.

Cody Parkey then kicked a 43-yard field goal to make the score 31-0 with 4:28 left in the first half.

Johnson connected again with Sammie Coates for a 67-yard touchdown pass with 3:10 left in the half.

Auburn went into half time with a 38-7 lead.

Auburn scored again with a 1-yard run from Cameron Artis-Payne in the third to make the score 45-10.

The Tigers move to 7-1 (3-1). They will travel to Arkansas on Saturday, Nov. 2.
