(WMC-TV) - Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius answered to lawmakers on Capitol Hill Wednesday during a hearing held by the House Energy and Commerce Committee.

Tennessee Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn (R) pressed Sebelius for answers as to who was responsible for problems related to healthcare.gov.

"Hold me accountable for the debacle. I am responsible," said Sebelius.

Sebelius assured lawmakers technical problems with the site would be fixed by November 30. She tried to calm privacy concerns.

"The highest security standards are in place and people have every right to expect privacy," said Sebelius.

She also took fire for promises made by the president. Reportedly millions are being forced to find new insurance plans. Sebelius said many people are grandfather into old plans and those who are not will receive better coverage.

Sebelius will speak at the Memphis Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library Friday during an event encouraging Tennesseans to get covered with the new health insurance marketplace. WMCTV.COM plans to live stream Sebelius speaking at the event.
