(WMC-TV) - A county-side crime ring may be out of business Thursday, but Memphis Police are still getting a gauge on its size.

Police have nabbed five suspects, but additional arrests are possible as the alleged crime count keeps growing.

Musician Ed Mason is grateful Memphis police may have captured the crooks who broke through the front door of his home twice.

"I think they need to do some time for that, breaking into people's houses and just taking stuff," said Mason.

Police have charged five suspects with at least eight crimes while they are suspected of at least eight others and possibly many more across Memphis and Shelby County.

"They have been burglarizing, stealing, terrorizing," said Colonel Mike Ryall at the Ridgeway station precinct. "Talking about residential burglary, theft from automobiles, and theft of automobiles."

Police say the alleged crooks called it "going shopping" when they went out and about.

Police say 18-year-old Fadrick Murry bragged about committing up to 200 crimes. He and another suspect were both on probation at the time of their latest arrests.

Marino Jones is another repeat victim who had things stolen from both his airport-area home and his car.

"I hope if there's any more of them they get the rest of them," said Jones.

Various precincts are working with Shelby County investigators to uncover any additional crimes that may be tied to these suspects. Call Crime-Stoppers at 901-528-CASH with any information.
