(WMC-TV) - A recent crackdown by Mississippi investigators had 45 people arrested, according to a local press release.

Other results include the arrest of 11 felons, 15 drunk drivers, and 208 traffic citations were issued.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop Captain, Chad Moore, promised monitoring will reoccur.

"This was not a one-time occurrence. There will be a continued presence throughout the northeastern part of our state," stated Moore.

Checkpoints were set up on city streets, county roads, state highways, and federal highways.

"This was a very successful effort," finished Moore.

Several agencies participated in the movement including the Mississippi Highway Patrol, Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, the U.S. Marshall's Service, Union County Sheriff's Department, and the New Albany Police Department.
