HENDERSONVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Hendersonville police are asking for the public's help in catching a thief who stole a boat without anyone noticing.

It happened at a storage lot on Cherry Hill Drive last week when Daniel Balsbaugh said someone cut through cables and locks to steal his 18-foot Bayliner.

Hendersonville police believe the same person is responsible for stealing another neighbor's trailer, too.

"I do have another camper in there, but I'm going to be canceling my membership here and taking it elsewhere, just from the lack of security on the lot. Unfortunately, I just don't feel safe keeping anything here anymore," Balsbaugh said.

Hendersonville police believe the same thief may have also hit some storage units in Goodlettsville last week.

If you have any information about this case, call Hendersonville police or Crime Stoppers at 615-573-5400.
