The Big Switch: Light bulb changes coming in January

The New Year brings in more then just New Year's resolutions, fluorescent light bulbs will no longer be available as of January 1, 2014.

The Clean Energy Act calls for businesses to no longer produce 40W and 60W incandescent light bulbs.

Once the incandescent light bulbs are sold out, they will not return to store shelves.

These light bulbs are being replaced with energy-efficient  LED (Light Emitting Diode) and CFL (Compact Fluorescent lights) lights.

According to EarthEasy.com, the new lights last up to ten times longer and even though they are more expensive at first, they will save you money in the long run.

You can find many different brands and types of these new light bulbs in your local department stores.
