MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) – A large power outage in Memphis on Monday morning left more than 1,800 customers without power for a few hours on one of the coldest days in years.

Part of this outage included part of the Midtown and the North Memphis areas.

According to Memphis, Light, Gas and Water's website, the outage was reported at 5:12 a.m. on Monday. A troubleshooter is working on the problem and the outage has an estimated repair of 10 a.m.

When the outage was first reported more than 1,800 customers were without power. As of 9 a.m. on Monday, around 300 customers were still without power.
