Grizzlies Beat Rockets 88-87

(WMC-TV) - The Memphis Grizzlies improve to over .500 with an 88-87 win in a home-and-home series against the Houston Rockets.

It's the Grizzlies' first win in the Southwest Division this season. They are the last team in the NBA to win a division game, improving to 1-10 in division play this season.

Former Rocket Courtney Lee led the Grizzlies with 19 points on 6-9 shooting. Zach Randolph added 15 points and Mike Conley had 14.

Rockets small forward Chandler Parsons went on a ridiculous second-half tear, hitting 10 threes in a row in the half, finishing with a career-high 34 points.

The Grizzlies improve to 21-20, putting them just two games behind the division rival Dallas Mavericks for the 8th and final playoff spot in the Western Conference. The Grizzlies have been much improved in the month of January, winning 8 of their 11 contests. The Grizzlies are also 4-1 since the return of Marc Gasol.
