Some TN high school grads could get free college education

(WMC-TV) – A new education initiative proposed by Governor Bill Haslam will make it easier for graduating high school seniors in Tennessee to further their education.

Monday, during his State of the State speech, he unveiled a plan to allow graduates to attend a two-year community college or a college of applied technology for free.

Tonight on Action News 5 at 5, Lauren Squires talks with students about the opportunity to pursue a degree at no cost and the chance it gives each student to excel beyond high school.
